On our way back from Olympia last weekend, we stopped to see the yard art of Rich Tracy in Centralia. It's pretty impressive, as you can see from the photos.

I have chosen to spend my sabbatical semester (Sept. '09 to Jan. '09) in Portland, Oregon. I landed a one-semester teaching job at the University of Portland to help defray expenses; and best of all, my daughter, Alex, her partner, Norris, and #1 grandson, Truman, live here too, and my youngest, Nik, will be attending Evergreen College in Olympia, Washington, only a short drive away. My husband, Kent, and I are set up in our rental house in Northeast Portland.
